Ladies Prison Ministry

The Women’s Prison Ministry ministers to the ladies at Wrightsville prison. There are many opportunities to be involved in this ministry. Each Tuesday we meet at the church at 5:00pm, and carpool to the Hawkins Unit for a Bible Study with approximately 45 to 55 ladies. There are about 6 to 8 women from our church that go each week, which includes a teacher for the lesson that week.

We mail encouragement cards each week to the ladies in our Bible Study, and they write down prayer requests which are sent via email to everyone involved in this ministry. Those who volunteer to send the cards weekly are provided cards and stamps to write one or two of the ladies by Friday of each week.

There is a Prison Ministry fund through the Church for expenses which include: Bible Study books, devotionals (given out at the end of each Bible Study), greeting cards and stamps, and transportation costs.

Praying for this ministry to be God’s hands and feet in reaching those who have not accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior is the most important way to be involved. May God have all the glory!

For I was hungry and you gave Me food, I was thirsty and you gave Me drink, I was a stranger and you took Me in, I was naked and you clothed Me, I was sick and you visited Me, I was in prison and you came to Me.  Matthew 25:36 NKJV
